Born in 1971. Outdoor gear craftsman. Commonly known as Jackie Boy Slim. He is a pioneer in the Japanese MYOG (Make Your Own Gear) scene. Enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities, including UL hiking and mountain stream fishing. In 2018, he launched "JMW (Jindai Mountain Works)" and currently has an atelier at the foot of Mount Takao, Tokyo.

Born in Baltimore, USA in 1971. Raised in San Francisco. After graduating from the University of California, he came to Japan with just a backpack. While working as a freelance writer, he founded the Japanese-English bilingual culture magazine "TOKION" in 1996. He launched the travel lifestyle magazine "PAPERSKY" in 2002, and has created a fresh media that seamlessly blends time, nature and culture from a new perspective called "ethno travel" to create a fresh media that connects with the future.
