KYUSHU|Kyoshu's National Parks
To the National Parks in Kyushu to receive the bounty of the earth
A Japanese national park where you can experience the life and culture of the land along with nature. This time we'll be featured on a trip to Kyushu's national parks, which have a wide variety of nature and culture, and discover the ingredients that benefit from the scenery and the land.
Guests on the trip will be Yoshida Kohei, also known as "CHALKBOY," whose activities began by drawing menu blackboards for cafes, and Suzuki Teppei, aka "Fruit and Vegetable Mikotoya," a restaurant that delivers organic vegetables, and "Tour de Sandwich," a sandwich made with local ingredients and "A feast for your eyes," and "Feast is food and scenery," and will be on a trip to Kyushu where you can connect with the earth with your mind and body and stimulate your senses.
■ Profile of Yoshida Kohei (CHALKBOY)
After graduating from high school, he worked as a graphic designer before heading to the University of the Arts in London. After returning to Japan, the blackboard he draws at a cafe became a hot topic. It began activities as "CHALKBOY" in 2013. Based on Japan, the company is expanding its range of activities around the world.

Feast For Your Eyes
When people think of Yosemite National Park; even if they have never been they have images of majestic rocks and waterfalls in their mind. When people think of Japan’s National Parks they have images of? Well, . . . nothing! But with this issue of Papersky we’re out to change that, because we love Japan’s National Parks and we want more people to be able to appreciate their natural beauty and long cultural histories.
We thought the best place to begin our mission of bringing light and vision to Japan’s National Parks was Kyushu. Home to live volcanoes, towering mountains, a plethora of small islands, bursting of rivers and swelling of fresh water Kyushu is ALIVE!!!! Kyushu’s main island is home to four National Parks: The Saikai National Park (Nagasaki), The Unzen-Amakusa National Park (Kumamoto, Nagasaki), The Aso-Kujyu National Park (Oita, Kamamoto) and the enormous Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park (Miyazaki, Kagoshima).
We loaded up our GORDON MILLER motors van and packed ourselves as well as our guests; handwriting genius Chalkboy and the travelling vegetable man Teppei (Micotoya) and headed off to explore Kyushu’s National Parks.
